Well, we’ve finally *nearly* finished our new website, what do you think? We are so excited to go “legit” with a real live website after having a placeholder up forrrreeeever. Hard to work on our own site when it doesn’t pay so well. :P
Please don’t mind our dust while we are settling in- our portfolio’s are not complete and probably will not be for a few weeks since Maddie and I are both pretty busy right now. In the meantime if you are thinking of hiring one of us but need more to see, just email maddie or myself and we’ll get back to you asap.
So, I guess I should tell ya’ll a little bit about myself. My name is Phaedra and I’ve been in the graphic design business for about 12 years. Since my primary focus is raising my family and has been for nearly all that time I have done mostly freelance projects. Including but not limited to: photography, print design, logo and identity, marketing research, sculpture, watercolor painting, textiles, blog, personal and small business website design. I enjoy different mediums but my favorite is definately web design. And it brings the most business, so hey. Ya gotta do what you gotta do.
I am a married mother of three young children; ages 2, 6 and 9. I work from my home office in California. My work hours are kind of crazy since I choose to work when my husband is home to spend time with the kids, but I am available daily for at least some period of time. My customers would tell you that I am lightening fast, often completing even a e-commerce site from top to bottom in less than two weeks. But always, my family comes first.
I’m currently working on a website redesign that should go live sometime this weekend. On monday I will start a four week project for another customer. So I am not currently available until September 4th. I have a limited window of availability at that time, so book me now and don’t miss out!
Maddie and I have been working together for about nine months. And it’s been bliss the entire time. We collaborate well. I’m glad to have met someone with so much talent, patience- not to mention similar goals in life. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful thing. More often than not Maddie and I work seperately and use each other as a sounding board- testers, a second set of eyes, mutual moral support. But for the bigger or more complex projects we have succeeded in picking up where the other left off. For instance, Montessori Academy of Chicago and Sweetnicks Food & Life. Maddie did a beautiful job of designing each project, and then I did most of the behind the scenes stuff. We make a great team.
Anyhow, we’re so glad you are here and look forward to working with you to create something snazzy. Look for new designs in our Recent Designs category very soon. Thanks!
