Well, hello there.

M to the A to the Dee Dee I Eee (c’mon work with me!) here.

I’m so fantabulously happy to finally be able to say, “go check out our site”. I have to give it up to Phae (this is totally her baby) she did a fantastic job putting this together. I did a lil here and a lil there, mostly pestering her with millions of questions while she worked away diligently at the site. But, yeah. We’re here : )

Speaking of Phaedra… you may have noticed that there are many changes around here, if you had previously visited the site wayyy back when it was a wee blog. The biggest, and best change of all is my partnering with Phaedra. We’ve been working together now for the past (almost) year and it’s been a fabulous ride. Without gushing much, I’ll tell you that Phaedra is a fabulous designer, awesome woman, super mom, daughter, friend, hard worker, great writer, photographer extraordinaire, and didn’t I say I wouldn’t gush? But, yeah I’m lucky to have snagged her. Anyways, we’re happy to be here and looking forward to helping you.

For those of you that don’t know me, let me introduce myself…My name is Maddie, Madeline, Maddiemad and sometimes Madster. I am a wife to a self proclaimed “myspace superstar” (don’t ask, I love him anyway) and mom of three kiddos ages 13, 12, and 2. I work out of my home office (err, office space) here in Partly Cloudy Upstate, New York. I don’t have a set schedule and I like it just fine, but I can pretty much always be reached via email, or google chat because I obsessively check my email often. I tend to work best laaate nights, because during the day it’s pretty much kids domain.

I absolutely love designing, and most nights I seriously dream about it. I know, I’m a dork. I find myself grabbing ideas for design everywhere, from stationary, to cute shoes. I scour magazines, and keep a large bulletin board above my desk with various print ads, showcasing interesting typography and color combinations. I have a slight obsession with collecting fonts and dingbats. I find designing to be hard work, but just as equally rewarding. There’s simply no way to describe how happy it makes me to take an idea someone has and see it come to life on the web. I can talk your ear off on this subject but, the gist of it is, I am happiest when I’m being creative :)

I am currently working on a website for a lovely Calligraphist that should be live mid August. And, next up is a photography website that I’m very exited to start working on as well. After that, it’s all green pastures. I just had to say that. In the meantime, if you’d like to see more of my work, please email me. The portfolio page is still under construction : )
