I just came across this tutorial to make these pretty flower garlands over at Once Wed out of fabric and they are so sweet and simple to make I had to share. Once I finish mine, I’ll try to get some good shots to share. Let me know if you make some too!
This time of year for me is full of longing. Longing for spring, sun, nature, flowers, fresh air… So, needless to say, it’s a bit difficult to find inspiration (at least for me it is) when I feel like I’m stuck indoors.
This is when I rely heavily on my handy dandy “Eye Candy” bookmark folder. By the way, if you’re still using browser based bookmarking you’re totally missing out. Google Bookmarks is an excellent way to be sure you will always have access to all your bookmarks, no matter what computer you’re using :)
Some of my tried and true sources of inspiration are below.
I’d love to hear what websites, people, music, etc. inspire you!
Here is another artist I found via IStock -Chuwy. I love the curves and bold colors Chuwy uses in many of these illustrations. I seriously would be broke if I picked up every illustration I’ve bookmarked! You will definitely see some of these bold colors in my upcoming work, that’s for sure!

I’m always finding inspiration from numerous sources… images, photography, typefaces, color schemes, etc. I thought I’d start a new section on the blog to talk about some of the things that i’m digging at the moment. Below are two talented artists that I found via Istock. The first is Little Lion. I am always in awe of the attention to detail in each of the seamless tiles and I could honestly close my eyes and chose any of them because they are all amazing. I love the simple line drawn images as well as the gorgeous colors used in all of her illustrations. Just pure eye candy!
The second is David Foreman. These hand drawn illustrations are so sweet and simple and I just love the colors he uses.

If you have any eye candy links feel free to leave them in the comments, I’d love to see what inspires you!
