I’m always finding inspiration from numerous sources… images, photography, typefaces, color schemes, etc. I thought I’d start a new section on the blog to talk about some of the things that i’m digging at the moment. Below are two talented artists that I found via Istock. The first is Little Lion. I am always in awe of the attention to detail in each of the seamless tiles and I could honestly close my eyes and chose any of them because they are all amazing. I love the simple line drawn images as well as the gorgeous colors used in all of her illustrations. Just pure eye candy!

The second is David Foreman. These hand drawn illustrations are so sweet and simple and I just love the colors he uses.

If you have any eye candy links feel free to leave them in the comments, I’d love to see what inspires you!

News to me

June 29, 2008

This might be something everyone on earth has talked about already for all I know, but I’m just coming across this website for the very first time and I gotta say, it’s pretty friggin’ awesome. It’s called The Way Back Machine and it allows you to view websites the way they originally appeared back in the day. I spent way too much time looking through google’s archives. You should check it out if you haven’t done so already :)

Props

Looking over my web stats today and noticed a bunch of people coming to Better in Pink through this link… turns out someone gave this site a little props over at CSS Divine :) Coolness!

it’s over. Right? May is over? Please say it’s over…

June 3, 2008

May has officially kicked my butt. You hear that May? You WIN! WON! (whatever!) I am just getting around to contacting the winners of the contest, and writing up my post about it. Slowly but surely I’m catching up on all the emails and quote requests that have been coming in as well. I’ve been working on providing new content for the site so that there is more information where you need it regarding my availability, pricing, and I’ll be adding some articles to the very neglected resources area as well.

This month I will be mainly focusing on my current projects *waves hi to Recipe Girl, Wendy from Sacred Moment Weddings and Heidi from HJ Photography* As well as tying up some loose ends from some of my previous projects *waves hi to Kat and Robyn* I’m also hoping to be able to get started on design concepts for my contest winners. *waves hi to Molly, Erin and Kat again* And, you know the usual toddler chasing, teen chauffering, mom and wife stuff I do on the down low ;)

This all to say, that if you have been getting a slow response from me the past couple of weeks it’s all MAY’s FAULT. June is here, and that means that school is almost over, and that means that soon, very soon I will have my babysitters, err daughters back to help out a bit while I get some work done. Right? Right? Ok. I need to go do some Yoga. Or something.
