What does my download .zip contain?
The download .zip’s contain the following:
- A .txt file with the Blogger template code, ready to be uploaded.
- An /images folder with all the images used in the template (used as personal backup.)
How do I install my new template?
There are some basic steps to follow when installing a Blogger template:
- First log in to your Blogger account, and from your Dashboard select “Layout.”
- Once in there, select the Tab “Edit HTML.”
- Before you decide to upload your new template, it is highly recommended to backup your current one. To do that, just click “Download Full Template.”
- Click the Browse button, look for your template, and then click Upload.
- If there are no Blogger warnings, you’re done. If there are, it probably means that your widgets are going to be lost. If that’s the case, be sure to keep a backup of each of them.
- You may want to read this tutorial on how to upload your template without losing your widgets.
Is there anything else I need to know?
In the download .zip, there are usually included two header images: a sample one, and a blank one. The purchase of your template, however, does NOT include any customization of these images (unless you have agreed to pay the additional fee for this service.)
Please make sure you check the More about this theme link in the product description, since these kind of posts usually contain specific information about the theme/template, such as: typography used, color schemes, and/or other formatting (dates, sidebar headings, etc.)
